Engineered for high-engagement learning hubs, maker spaces, and communal zones, this custom build provides a dynamic surface tailored for modular building bricks, hands-on STEM activities, electronics prototyping, 3D printing prep, robotics testing, and leisure games.
Scope Nexus Interiors led the bespoke design, material sourcing, structural fabrication, and supply of a mobile, multi-activity worktable. Built to support rapid reconfiguration, the unit integrates heavy-duty lockable casters, six smooth-glide modular storage tubs, an integrated raised retention border, and a secure flip-top pivoting mechanism.
Challenge & Solution Facilitating hands-on technical workshops and brick-building activities often leads to lost parts, cluttered work areas, and bulky storage issues when the floor needs to be cleared. Nexus resolved this by engineering a dual-function system: a durable laminated plywood worktop recessed with an 80mm perimeter lip to contain loose components, paired with an effortless side-folding hinge mechanism. The top tilts vertically and clicks securely into place, allowing the entire 2400mm station to nest flat against walls or navigate narrow corridors with ease.
Final Outcome The finished FFF Table provides an all-in-one interactive station that balances rugged utility with modern industrial styling. Featuring a durable black powder-coated steel chassis, easy-access storage tubs for rapid cleanup, and commercial-grade mobile casters, the table enhances collaborative productivity while offering facilities total spatial freedom.
